On the List, Top Wood Chisels

I am sure you’ve had your share of looking at very long lists of carpentry tools back when you were still learning the skills for wood crafting.  Otherwise, I’m quite sure you encountered a similarly long list when you were doing online research.  One thing I’m a hundred percent sure of is that in both lists you have seen the best wood chisels and the best wood lathe.  Allow me to write about my favorite and these are the carving chisels.  If you ask me, these are the best wood chisels.

I believe most of these tools have had its fair share of improvements and enhancements.  Technological advancements have recreated the design and function of some, if not most, of these tools.  We have seen automatic and even motorized versions of the original tool and equipment.  I still have yet to see an enhanced or upgraded version of my favorite handheld instrument.  If there is one in the market I will not be a buyer anytime soon or in the future.  I am not particularly excited about it since I am extremely happy with the way these wood chisels are now.

What these small hand tools have been giving us since the day it was invented, is the chance and opportunity to create masterpieces in wood.  A woodworker, in the truest sense of the name, would understand this.  There is nothing that can match the joy and excitement of being able to put your creative ideas into visual realities.  I am not saying that the high end versions and models cannot produce equally beautiful, if not even better, carving works.  It just lacks an element.

What it lacks is the most important element of all – the human touch. This, for me, is what makes carving chisels the best wood chisels.
