Doityourself.com provides help on many subjects, one of which is woodworking. The site contains an archive of how-to articles, videos, forums, products for sale, and information on how to find contractors. Besides woodworking, you can find information on many other topics, including electrical and lighting, painting, and going green. The site is intended to be a good first step for people who are looking to learn how to do a project. If you get started on a project and it proves to be too difficult, you can find a contractor on the site to finish it.
The website diynetwork.com has six main sections, one of which is Woodworking. The others are Home Improvement, Gardening & Landscaping, DIY on TV, Crafts, and Tools.
